Our Current Instructors
Rachelli was the first to join our team. Her classes have a very edgy, Middle Eastern, and hip hop feel to them, both in moves and in music. She focuses on form and technique, and often takes the time to show the moves slowly before upping the tempo. Her routines are low impact, but definitely make you sweat! Great for any level of dancer, from beginner to advanced. Rachelli holds a regular class every Tuesday at 9pm.
Full of life and enthusiasm, Coco focuses on burning and toning effectively. Her moves are high impact and most classes are pretty intense, especially when she brings in the kickboxing! People love Coco for her constant smile and colorful characteristics. Medium to high intensity workout. Coco holds a regular class every Monday at 8:30pm. 30 minutes of kickboxing, 1-hour of Zumba from 9-10pm.
Our master instructor! Nathan travels the world and has trained many of our other instructors. His class is an experience itself! Great music coupled with great choreography. Very intense workout, very high impact. Come ready to push yourself to the limit. The burn is worth it! All of Nathan’s classes are $20 and a minimum of 90mins. He travels on tour a lot, so sign up for text or email updates if you want to know when he’ll be giving his next class. Sometimes it’s a last-minute surprise!
Loyd is a blast! Always smiling, full of positive energy, Lloyd brings his lovable personality to the stage and makes sure you’re having fun while you burn off those calories. His routines are very fast paced, and high impact. People often compare his level of energy to Nathan. Low intermediate to advanced.
A trained ballet dancer, Jasmine brings a new kind of energy and grace to Zumba. Her routines are fun and well-paced, great for both beginners and advanced levels. Jasmine holds a regular class every Wednesday at 8:30pm.
One of our newest additions to the team, Jaclyn originally trained under Nathan before starting to hold classes on her own. She has an unmatched enthusiasm during her routines, and always brings something new to the table. Low impact, low/medium intensity, great for beginners.

“I started Z Zone NYC (formerly Zumba Zone NYC) because I wanted to more classes with awesome instructors. I lost 40lbs doing Zumba and fell in love with the moves and music, and I was frustrated that there were very few places in Brooklyn that offered high quality Zumba classes at the time. My goal was, and still is, to bring the best instructors together all one place, as well as having Zumba classes as often as possible during the week - mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends. Because I want to Zumba every day! I’m always seeking new instructors to keep things fresh, and give my ladies the best classes. They know that I am not just the owner and founder of Z Zone NYC, but am also at almost every single class if I am in the NYC area!”
